Care and early education is provided for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. We offer both half-day and full-day placements as well as transportation from area schools for our After School Care Program. Our summer school age program boasts field trips to local establishments and area parks. As part of our programming, we offer nutritious meals and snacks at no extra charge to our families while recognizing the cultural practices of the families we serve.
Hours of Operation Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Payment Options To meet the wide range of financial needs of our families, we offer a variety of payment options. Families are encouraged to apply for funding through Child Care Information Services (CCIS) and may contact them at 451-6580. We also offer private pay rates as well as a sliding scale option with proof of income.
Our Philosophy Regardless of where a child is born, we seek to provide a happy, safe, healthy and educationally stimulating learning environment of new friends serving the children of MCRC clients as well as those in the community.
How Do We Do This? Provide a language rich environment through a variety of daily activities. Provide abundant time for children to interact with each other and with a diverse adult staff who represent the families we serve. Provide activities that encourage a child’s self-expression and creativity, as well as, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Establish an open line of communication with parents and interpreters to ease the transition process and build a collaborative relationship moving forward. Our overall goal is to provide an early learning experience that allows for a smooth transition away from home, develops each child’s use of the English language, and provides an environment that develops positive self-image. We will work to build confidence and instill knowledge that differences should be acknowledged, appreciated, and respected.
Licensing & Quality Standards As a licensed child care facility that participates in the STARS quality initiative program (www.pakeys.org), we partner with our families in the learning process while meeting Pennsylvania’s safety and quality standards. Each of our lead teachers has been awarded a higher education credential which reflects our belief in quality education for all children.
