MCRC Awarded $100,000 Erie Women’s Fund Major Grant
MCRC is proud to announce that it has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Erie Women’s Fund $100,000 Major Grant. The award was officially presented during the Erie Women’s Fund Summer Event.This transformational investment will support the launch of Bridge to Belonging, a new cohort-based program designed to help refugee and immigrant women strengthen their English-language skills, build confidence, prepare for meaningful employment, and successfully navigate the workplace and their new community.Bridge to Belonging will also address the practical barriers that can stand in the way of opportunity. Participants will have access to transportation assistance, childcare support, interpretation, resource navigation, peer mentorship, and opportunities for connection and community building.
The women who will participate in this program have already demonstrated extraordinary resilience, strength, and determination. Bridge to Belonging will provide them with the tools, resources, and opportunities to recognize their potential, pursue their goals, and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
MCRC Executive Director Katie Kretz accepted the $100,000 grant on behalf of the organization, joined by Associate Director of Operations Srdan Ninkovic and Board President Dr. Carolyn Baugh.
